Privacy policy

Who we are

TockLogic is a product developed and offered by us ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what we collect through the marketing site, your company's account, and the dashboard and mobile apps, and what you can expect us to do with it.

What we collect

Setting up a company collects the company name and the name and email address of the people you add as staff. When staff use TockLogic we record time entries (clock-in and clock-out times, breaks, job codes and any notes), schedules, timesheet approvals, and the overtime rules your company configures.

The mobile app may collect a device identifier for push notifications, and — only if your company turns it on and the person allows it — the location captured at clock-in. Location capture is off by default.

How we use it

To run the service you signed up for — authentication, time tracking, scheduling, approvals, overtime calculation, reporting and notifications — to bill you for your plan, and to contact you about your account or a support request. We don't sell any of it and we don't use it to train models.

Cookies & tracking

This marketing site sets no tracking or advertising cookies and loads no third-party analytics scripts. The only cookie it sets is a standard CSRF-protection cookie when you submit the public contact form. Signing in to the TockLogic dashboard doesn't use a session cookie either — the dashboard and mobile apps authenticate with a short-lived token pair stored in local storage, not a cookie, and it expires automatically (the underlying access token lasts 15 minutes; the refresh token, 1 hour).

Retention

Time entries, schedules, approvals and computed results are kept for as long as your company's account is active, so historic pay periods can be looked up. If you'd like them purged on a shorter cycle — or deleted entirely when you close your account — email support@tocklogic.com and we'll configure and run that for you; we aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days.

Third parties

We use Zoho for transactional email (account, invitation, and support correspondence) and a third-party payment provider for card payments on paid plans. That provider is our merchant of record: it takes the payment, deals with sales tax and VAT, and sends your receipt, so it receives your name, email address, billing country and card details to do that; we never see or store your full card number. Its own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment. We don't use any third-party analytics or advertising vendors. Infrastructure is operated by us.

Your rights & contact

Wherever you're located, you generally have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email support@tocklogic.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Terms of service

Acceptance

By setting up a company or using the service, you agree to these terms with us, the company that develops and operates TockLogic.

The service

TockLogic provides a web dashboard and mobile apps for tracking staff time, building schedules, approving hours, and computing overtime and premium pay from rules your company configures. You're responsible for the accuracy of the rules you configure and the entries your staff submit — TockLogic computes what your rules say, it doesn't independently verify them against any specific jurisdiction's law. TockLogic is a record-keeping and calculation tool, not a payroll processor or a legal-compliance service.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for activity under your company's account, and for making sure the people you add as staff are entitled to use it. Tell us right away if you believe a credential has been compromised so it can be reset.

Acceptable use

Don't probe the service for vulnerabilities without authorization, interfere with other customers' use of it, or use it to store or process data you don't have the right to process.

Availability

The service is provided on an "as-is" basis. We don't offer a formal uptime SLA at this stage; Enterprise customers who need a contractual uptime commitment can arrange one with us directly.

Fees

Fees are set by the plan you agree to, billed per active person per month.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of TockLogic, including decisions made using computed results from rules your company configured. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can cancel at any time (see the refund and cancellation policy below), and export your company's data before you do. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will otherwise give at least 30 days' notice before ending the service for an account in good standing.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to where we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts with jurisdiction over us.

Changes to these terms

We'll post updates here and update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll also email the account holder on file.

Refund and cancellation policy

This explains how to cancel a paid plan and how to ask for a refund.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time. In your dashboard, open Settings, then Plan & billing, and switch to the free Starter plan, or email support@tocklogic.com and we'll do it for you.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Until then you keep everything in your paid plan; after it you are moved to the free Starter plan. We don't charge you for any later period. If we have already sent your next renewal invoice, you don't need to pay it, and it is cancelled when your plan ends.

The free trial doesn't need a payment card, so there is nothing to cancel or refund before you choose a paid plan.

Refunds

A paid month is provided in full from the day it starts, so we don't normally refund a month that has already begun. We do refund a payment in full if you were charged by mistake or twice, or if you ask within 14 days of the payment and haven't used the service for that period. Any other request is reviewed case by case.

To ask for a refund, email support@tocklogic.com from your account's email address, with the invoice number (or the date and amount of the payment). We aim to reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and can take a few business days to appear, depending on your bank.

If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us first rather than disputing it with your bank, and we'll sort it out quickly.
